Malaysia-Kukup Trip 1

Yes! The long await kukup trip is here.

On 17 December 2008, we met at about 10 am at Bugis MRT. Before we met, I had to go down to the ICA to get my new passport. The reason was that I had to update my photo as my old passport photo was commented by the customs previously when I went to Malaysia.


The ICA has new rule: There is no more just updating photo alone. If to update photo, a new passport has to be applied.

To my horror when I reached ICA, there was a really really long queue to get into the building. The queue basically surrounded the whole building. But luckily, the whole process of getting into the building and getting my passport did last more than an hour.

This is a photo taken at Bugis MRT while waiting. Soon, we set off to Queen Street Terminal to take a bus travelling between Malaysia-Johor Bahru's Lakin and Singapore's Queen Street Terminal.

The whole lasted for about 2 hours or so? In between, we had to alight and board the bus to pass the customs. This was my first time taking the causeway link bus to get to Malaysia.

At the Malaysia custom, there were queues at the counters (at least 15 counters). Some queues were shared among 2 counters; one queue is handled by two counters. These are the queues that were faster *obviously*. Haha. But not many of us realised until when there were of us who reached the counters faster.

This is the new Malaysia custom. It is quite spacious as compared to the old one. But i guess the waiting time is still almost the same? I am not very sure as I seldom visit Malaysia. =)

After we reached one of the Johor Bahru's bus interchange Larkin, we need to catch a bus to 笨镇 (Pontian). *I think so* According to Yu Han, we are supposed to know which bus is going to where. This is really different from Singapore. As Yu Han and me discussed, Malaysia or more specifically, Johor, is not as systematic as Singapore. And we, the Singaporeans, are used to the systematic life in Singapore.

The bus ride to Pontian is about one and a half hours. Most of us took this time to take a quick nap.

This is a picture of the view of Pontian. At there, we ate at a Indian food outlet. I won't say it is a restaurant as it does not restaurant standard!

Here, we actually had to connect 4 or 5 tables in order to accommodate the whole lot of us. This reminds me of The Little Nyonya's Tok Panjang (长桌筵). Haha!

There was a thing which actually amused us. They told us that they did have enough rice. I was like: Derh...

In any case, the main point 重点 重点 重点 is that, the place is full of houseflies!!!

Woah.. This was very IRRITATING! They fly around your head, legs; rest on your arms, neck. Yucks! And this sucks!

This is a flat screen TV over there and houseflies were found resting on it!

There were also some coconuts (real), which have houseflies on it.

Really.... Steady.

After we had our don't know whether is it for lunch or tea break or dinner, we proceed to Giant Supermarket and bought snacks for our stay later in the night. Then, we board a bus to Kukup at the bus stop taken below.

And finally, we reached our chalet! This is the place that we had our stay. It seemed a very simple place from the outside, but actually, it is quite furnished and.... the whole place can be air-conditioned!

There were even drinks provided! The toilets and bathroom were clean.

My ah ma's (外婆) 83rd Birthday

Have been sleeping a lot since the end of term tests.. Not much programmes, except for my ah ma's birthday celebration to attend.

The older generation go by 农历 (Chinese calendar). Her birthday by right is on 十一月初二十一. But that would be on a Thursday. So we had the celebration pushed forward, to be on a Sunday where everybody is able to attend.

As usual, my family would buy bird nest for her. This year, my both older sisters were not able to attend as one had to complete her project and one has to complete her dissertation.

Our birthday gift was so last minute until i have to go down to Chinatown to buy it before going over to my ah ma's house at Telok Blangah. So i went.

The original plan was to just to buy 3 boxes of bird nest, 2 for my grandma or grandmother and one for my sister as she requested. In the end, there was a offer; buy 5 and get 1 box free....

So, being tempted and the price was reasonable, I ended up carrying 6 boxes of bird nest!!! It was so heavy that I cannot tar han and I called a cab to my my ah ma's house..

Until now, my both arms are aching.

At there, everybody was present except for a few. This year there was no longer Bak Ku Teh and curry, its hotpot. The base soup was absolutely fabulous! Whoo!!! Very very nice.

Then after breakfast or lunch or dinner, it's birthday cake time! Haha.. Below are some of the pictures....

After this post, I would be all ready for tomorrow's kukup trip!!!! AD 15 and 25 finally able to go to kukup! We had discussed before when we were year 1. Haha. Finally until now we can go! Whoo!

It has been 2 weeks i think from my last post. Let me start with today's event and track back slowly....

Today my second sis and her boyfriend met the property agent. My neighbour, just a flat besides ours, intended to sell the flat. I thought the discussion would went smoothly, so obviously it did not went as smotthly as I have thought.

My second sister's boyfriend, kept mum throughout the discussion, all the until we had to settle to meet the agent tonight. None of us could figure what he was thinking as he did not want to speak. So, we allow them to think about it.

Before a decision was made, I went fairprice to buy some stuff for my mother. During my trip, I recalled that my right eye was twitching quite "fiercely" this morning. The right eye even had tears flowing out *I was not crying*.

Then it struck me that would it have been this matter? As this matter can be considered as a major decision. Following this, I hoped that my left eye would twitch, to balance off the bad things and good things will come. Luckily, it did and when I got back, yes! My second sister's boyfriend agreed.

The reason why her boyfriend was holding on to buy the flat is that he would still like to travel to different places to work, do not wish to settle in Singapore yet. I also thought of this which is holding him back, but only confirmed with my sister after he left my house. I was so afraid that I sms my eldest sister, hoping that she could give us some good ideas, comments. But it was unnecessary. Haha.. So, everything was settled at least.

The funny thing about this matter is that we could not find any reasons to reject this offer. Haha. This is because the flat is just beside us, they just have to pass through 2 doors to come over here for dinner etc. It's so 'fang bian' and her boyfriend could save the money on renting another room. He would have his very own house.

Alright, enough of this issue. It has been confirmed, and that this can be put aside for awhile as there would be more things coming for us to settle.

Now... I wanna talk about last week stuff..

I remembered that day I was shocked to see my second sister's boyfriend (his name is Tony la... so tired keep saying boyfriend boyfriend) cooking at my house kitchen when i was standing at my house gate. I thought my mum would be the one preparing our dinner.

He was on 1 week leave to clear his leave.

Then, we waited for the dishes. When we start to have our dinner, everyone of us kept nodding our heads. Haha.. It was simply delicious! That's the reason why I was so full. I ate so much is not to waste all his effort and that I enjoyed all the food that he has cooked.

First, noodles were ready. This was the noodles that he cooked.

Followed by it was fried chicken wings and prawns!! Both were really really nice. Especially the chicken wings.. My mum could not even reached the standard!! Haha...

Last of all, we also had tofu...

Overall, we really had 'zhi cha' style of dinner man... Really enjoyed.. My stomach could be seen also. Haha...

04 December...

The next day Tony came to cook also... The same thing happened to me after having the dinner.. BIG stomach!! Haha...

This is 'ka kuay' with meat balls.. I don't know what 'ka kuay' called in english... If you know, please come and tell me.. Haha.. Thanks!

This is steamed egg with tofu and minced pork on top, adding flavours to the plain steamed egg and tofu.

A chef is indeed a chef... Multi-tasking between 2 to 3 dishes at the same time; having to control the fire of the stove and to stir fry the noodles. 赞! Haha...

05 December 2008... (Friday)

This day no more cooking by Tony.. My mum did not cook also... Then my sister was hungry until she wanted to have instant noodles. She wanted to have hot water by using the electric heater. This was the extension socket that was plugged in..

Like dots la!!! An uncovered plug could still be used!!! Nobody knows who did this and lucky enough, nothing happened.

我生气了!

Oh.. Today small small thing happen ar.. Haha...

Today was the last lab session for AIA. I guess none of us will expect it to be so so slack. I think the lab session is just to let us experience Fourier Transform Infared Spectroscopy (FTIR).

I found the lab session to be boring as there is nothing for us to do *except for us to play*. Haha.. So I decided to take out lyrics of songs that I have wanted to practise. Some songs I really like it and that I want to learn it well, so that next time can sing when I go for k. One song is to sing to kai siang! Haha. That song for kai siang is "Lips of an Angel'. I heard from Yuying that he would always play this song in exxon mobil everyday without fail for a period of time. So I wanna ka jiao him!!! Haha..

I actually printed out the lyrics so that its easier for reference whenever I am free or too bored with.

So when i was holding the paper (lyrics) in my hands, people anti me singing (haha) tried to stopped me. Then, not long after, the paper i was holding onto tore.

My thinking at that split second was: "I just want to practise that's all, and I have no intention in singing OUT LOUD. Why do my paper have to be torn!!!!!!!! And that the paper is not recycled paper (rough paper) lor.. I used a NEW paper...".

I nearly nearly cried out. My eyes at that moment were already one-third filled with tears and my face turned red. So to avoid that, I walked out of the laboratory to cry out or cool myself down in the toilet.

But when I reached the toilet, there were some girls then too paiseh to let my emotions out. So, i kept my tears back. Also on second thought, it's not worth crying over a torn paper and the tearing of the paper is an accident, nobody expects that to happen. Also, only me i guess that treat a piece of paper so important.

So why be angry over such a small thing that might 破坏our friendship? Not worth it right? *Yeah* Haha..

So i was playing my handphone game in the cubicle, I didn't picked up kai siang's call as I don't know what to say to him at that point of time, I heard all the shoutings that asked me to come out. Hahahahaha....

When i got back into the lab, I don't feel like talking for whatever reason(s) which I don't know myself also. Maybe it is because that I need time to recover after something happened. I was really feeling a bit down should be because I'm tired..: I chiong out of my hosue today, I nearly unable to board my 23 early in the morning as I didn't keep a lookout for it; and lastly lastly, its b'cuz of AIA report....

I really appreciate all those who came out to look for me. At the same time I am sorry that I have made some of you to be worried.. But it's now ALL OVER!!!

Don't worry.. 我没有放在心上. Really... I know I need to have guy's thinking: do not remember such a small thing...

J.U.D.Y 周定维-我不会唱歌

Whoo!!! 周定纬真的是帅的咯!!!!! *Screams!!!!!***
Haha...

I already like (not that kind of love) him when I listened to his 我不会唱歌. And then subsequently i saw him on TV, One million Star programme where he started his singing career.

He was the only participant in 星光一帮 that can dance. So maybe that's why why he is quite 突出.

Today he finally able to sing in 百万大歌星!!!! WHoo!!! Shiok shiok shiok... Haha.. Really enjoyed his performance and i like him more and more... Whoo!!! He really can dance, his performance was great, though he really can't sing as well as those 杨宗伟 etc.

He is actually quite attractive and I actually was thinking it would be so great if he were to be my boyfriend. Can dance, can sing with all his heart. Also, he actually came prepared. He hand written the songs lyrics to remember them. And this helped him! He managed to clear 8 rounds before ending in the 9th round.

This proved that he is a determined and hard-working guy, and i believe that he is a decent guy too... So... If i can get a boyfriend like him, hmm.. I would really be sastified. Haha...

But of course this is impossible, juz dreaming for awhile. Haha...

Hm.. Have been busy with all my AIA stuff. But i guess not as busy as the IWT people? Haha. See yy and sara always staying back late to do their PBL, pity them. =)

AIA really made my mood has drastic changes. I can be very very happy and marcos they all would asked 'how many years have i not laughed?'. Haha. The next moment i can then become very stressed up by the project as afraid unable to get good results and then lousy marks.

Luckily, so far things have been not bad so far though there were transition periods which I really want to cry it out!!! But ENDURE! AIA will be over soon. and YEAH! Haha...

Later at night, or Sunday morning, my second sister will come back from Japan! Whoo! And i will be going to the airport to welcome her back. Haha.. Her boyfriend i don't think he is going, so going to help my sister out.

This afternoon i think about 4pm, my sister called from Japan la! Juz to tell me i MUST go and help her to carry her luggage. Haha. I think she really bought alot of stuff.

Today my ELDEST sister went to get her wisdom tooth plucked out. Oh! She is really in pain. She cannot talk properly, and gave me a shock this morning when she came home. She was wearing a mask and her sunglasses. Dots la! She is like some people who is damn scared to get infected. But her mouth was like could not close properly and i guess slight swollen of her face.

i hope i will not be like her; in such a great pain. =) I really pitied her but could not do much and seeing her sleeping is my biggest 安慰 as i think sleeping can help her to forget her jaw pain.

Hm.. Some updates about the 'unhappy' stuff.

I don't understand why that generation thought that making changes to the statement will have no impact on the person who gave it. I really don't understand. Or the scenes shown in drama serials were untrue?

I believe that I am right in anyway.

No much progress for this 'unhappy' stuff. None of us were informed about this. I do not think really much and have been focusing on my studies. But i realised my attitude towards him have changed, and rather, changed permanently.

Cuz he is still like, that way he talks to us, his behaviour and thinking are all still the same. The rest keep saying he is changing and blah blah blah. I do not believe, and i meant it. The way he talks is always irritating to me and now, if he just signal SLIGHT unhappiness whether is it for real, I will just avoid it if possible, to prevent myself from being in that unwanted situation again.

Hmm... I find that I have come across many sad stories recently...

One is a TV programme, show on Channel 8 every Monday, 8pm. This programme shows some less fortunate people living in Singapore which like until now, all the stories are very touching and I never fail to cry every week because of this.

At the same, it also let me realise how fortunate I am though many unwanted, unhappy stuffs still happen. But from today's episode, I have found a sentence which I believe its true: 认命，但不认输。

Another sad story is again from Channlel 8, but this time is a drama serial, 不凡的爱. Its about AIDS, which is good as i believe the majority do not know how's the life of a HIV positive person. This actually can act as a reminder to all the guys out there who have to sastify their needs in geylang area or whatever when the urge comes.

I don't deny the fact that there are indeed some girls seeking fun in this area also, but it seems that all the stories of AIDS are more on the guy side. Haha... So to both sides la hor... Haha..

Having been exposed to all these, I am more 清醒 about the way to live and the kind of life I want myself to be in. Hope everyone can do the same too. =)

Let me talk about some funny, happy stuff.

On Monday, the 3rd November 2008, my two very good female friends and me wore the SAME black Polo-T from Giodarno UNKOWINGLY!!! Haha..

Really surprised as all i can say, this is 默契!!! Something which don't have to say anything, juz do the same thing. Haha...

This is the photo that we took! In the past sara and me would wear the same shirt. Now, there is Yuying to join us! Haha!! Welcome YY!! Haha...

Today, 6 November 2008, a Thursday, Nathaniel did something in the Inorganic Chemistry Lab which was really hilarious.

He actually turned into a temporary plumber; the Chemical Reaction Engineering (CRE) Practical 1 requires the use of magnetic stirrer which Nat accidently washed down the sink. So, he acutally opened up the 'thing' (I don't know what's that called) and retrieved the magnetic stirrer. This was like, Woah Lao! Haha... I should have taken out my phone and take pictures of it!!!

When the 'thing' was about to open, water/liquid flowed down like fast. Haha! All these were contained in some beakers and the magnetic stirrer did came out! The magnetic stirrer even had some mercury (according to the guys) attached to it. Yucks! Really dirty lor. Haha...

Dr Jiang Li was also a bit entertained by us. Haha. Cuz Marcos said something :"先生，我的水管有问题。" in a female and 'hiao' tone la... Really Lolx....

Now... Unhappy stuff...

On the same Monday, my right eye twitched. This means bad thing(s) will happen. And on Tuesday morning, something really happened.

I really wished I had not woken up at 5am on Tuesday morning to be in time witnessing something. I was upset, at the same time facing something very cruel. I can't stop myself from crying when I heard that sentence. But that sentence was really true and has made myself mentally prepared for what is to be coming.

After everything was put to a halt, I was surprised by myself that I did not let this event occupied my mind. This is good as I won't want this event to affect my studies when I had only left a semester to go.

But also cannot say I didn't think of it also, just not facing it bracely enough and really don't want to think about it! It's so irritating!

Today... Now! My right eye is twiching again. Shi te liao lor. Don't know what's coming again. Sianx. This morning I was already emotionally affected by the same event again and now, maybe later, will have to be upset another time.

Whatever happened this morning about the event was something which was totally wrong, not for me. This should not have done as it would be a serious case in the eyes of somebody.

I suddenly thought of how this event will go on at about 8 pm when I was watching TV programme. And I have set my mind to carry out what I foresee. Cuz I feel that even if this event is called to an end, another event will still affect us. Also, relatives of older generation do not understand our situation and are looking things at the surface. They thought this time round is so simple to be settled. The fact is, N, O, NO! In general, I think that they are making things worse.

So why not prevent another event that would even get more serious than this time and which will upset us again? As this case (has not end yet), would put a scar on everyone of us, and this scar could not possibly be healed even after 10 years; the actual feelings and thinking at this point of time will just be forgotten.

This song I wanted to put it the moment i resumed my blog. But this wasn't done until yesterday.

A same tune of song but different lyrics was found in Fish Leong's 今天情人节DVD. I guess the reason for the new lyrics is because this tune was not well received by people. =) This song was not found in Karoake also. So sad lor. This song is quite K. =)

Later 1 pm then got make-up tutorial for CRE so blog abit. Haha..

Yesterday in the LT was i really that fierce? Haha... Sara said that I was very serious when talking to Dion Khoo. Haha. But i was really upset by the fact that we have no proper lunch break all the way until 2 if without the MNT make-up tutorial. Now its worse as no break till 3 pm. Then at 4 still have AIA lecture. Really busy and tired la!

I told my sisters abt me talking back to one of my lecturers. They told me to bring chicken rice, western food into the LT for the make-up tutorial. Haha! The purpose is to 熏the whole LT with food smell. Haha... But i think i won't do it cuz my hands would be very busy eating and writing. lol.

Maybe i shall ask the other guys to do it since they are like, always so easy to be hungry. Haha! But i really look forward to tmr's make-up tutorial as we can eat 光明正大 since eating in the LT is allowed by Dion Khoo! Haha...

After MP

Because of the heels i wore on friday for the WHOLE day, me feet, calves were all very painful!

So I decided to went for foot massage yesterday. I went, and really relaxed myself. It was like, every part of the part he pressed on, i feel the pain there. So basically my health isn't very good if to follow foot massage. Therefore, i think foot massage is not a very good indication of the condition of one's health.

Yesterday at the place, I asked the person to reduce the massage force. He asked me questions like do you feel pain at your waist or shoulder etc. I replied him my shoulder always feel pain and he recommended me to go for another massage to lessen the pain at my shoulder. Then I was like, no lor. And the impression i got is they are massaging from the point of making money out of me. This is very good to the company, but it posed a bad impression on me as you are placing your customers at top priority! He should have just suggested to go for exercise more often.

Honestly speaking, I was not very pleased by the service though they had good massaging skills. =)

But nvm lor, since I have signed a package with them last year. This year was only my SECOND visit. Haha...

MAJOR PROJECT!!!!

Becasue of the MAJOR PROJECT(MP) of Final Year Project (FYP), I have not blogged for a few weeks!! It is not that i don't want to blog, it's like everyweek, everyday, even during the weekends, my mind is only filled with the major project. I don't want to waste time blogging when my MP is not finished also.

For the past few weeks, I was worrying about the report; how am i going to finish it as my supervisor actually did not specify what are the things to include and things not to include. It was like this project is my business. However, I appreaciate her help when I took the initiative to ask her.

But now, everything is finally over!!! FINALLY! Presentation, submission of report, logbk etc, no more!!! And I am going to write alot alot of things!! Haha.

This day, as many of the AD25 people went out for lunch with our DEAREST CP, Mr Tang. Haha. It wasn't really lunch as we started it at about 2 pm and ended at abt 6pm. We were also unsure of whether we were taking our lunch or dinner. Haha.

For me, I had both! Cuz in this way, I can save up money on 2 meals. Haha. Thank you Mr Tang for treating us! I know your pocket got a hole, maybe not very big la hor. Haha.

After the lunch cum dinner, some of us went off, including Mr Tang. The rest went around walking to kill time before the start of the movie. Oh, I can't remember which movie we watched man. Dots. I tried to recall but I really had no idea. Haha.

The movie was about a girl, who's occupation is rabbit girl (兔女郎)? who was framed by another rabbit girl and got driven out of the playboy house. The framing was done to her due to the jealousy of the other rabbit girl who framed her.

After the rabbit girl who was framed left, she ws trying to find a place to live in. In the end, she lived at a nerd girl hostel, called the ZETA, with the job of a housemother. ZETA was actually at verge of closing down due to the lack of "customers" or members in it. The story was then about how she transformed the nerds (girls) into attractive and confident girls.

It was very heartwarming as the bond between her and the girls in the hostel started to grew and eventually, the rabbit girl didn't left even when the frame was exposed and she was invited back to the playboy house.

This movie also showed how she was transformed from a damn hot and sexy rabbit girl into a decent, gaining knowledge and wisdom girl.

So, that's about the movie. Overall, this movie is not bad to me. =)

Before the movie, to kill time, everyone of us was trying to find something to do. Firstly, the guys got addicted to some game which was played like I was very young. They managed to grab a piggy. Haha.

This is the piggy that the guys got! Haha. It was cute! But was only successful like after few tries.

After this, Firdian left as he need to go for work. *Sad* Cannot talk and see him for longer. Hope he is doing well!

After this, we went to the arcade. Haha. Many of us really went crazy and just hack care! Sara and I as usual would play the shooting game. Haha. We were addicted to playing it after a trip to SAF Yatch Club when one game only costs 20 cents!

We tried many types of shooting games, and now, sara wanted to get one of those at home! Haha... Seriously sara, I am looking forward to play at your house man. Haha. But i know the distraction would be there. So you just see for yourself lor, I am always waiting. Haha.

One very classic moment at the arcade. It was time for us to leave the arcade for the movie. But jing xiang was stuck at his game! He tried to die but he survived in the game. Everybody was then like, "Woah lao...". Haha!!! Everybody was looking at him, looking at how he play and waiting for the moment when his game ends. Finally, the moment came. Haha....

These were length of the tickets we bought. I think got about 12 tickets. Looking at the picture of me and the tickets, there is one person who suddenly came into the picture behind me quietly. I didn't know until I saw the pic; sara and ronald were asking yuhan why she must come into the pic. Haha!! Sara commented that if without yuhan in the pic, the pic would be nice. Haha! But never mind la. Because of her sudden appearance in the pic, there was fun, laughter and joy.

After the movie, everybody parted.

I remembered that though I had fun on 9 Oct, I was still very concern about my MP and thus, I went back to school on 10 Oot for some purposes which I can't remember.

Sometime in the afternoon when I was in the computer lab with kai siang, after sara left, something very funny happened.

Kai siang and si en was playing around, and reached a point whereby kai siang was holding on to si en's wallet wanting her to give something back to kai siang. Si en, wanting to get back her wallet, managed to get hold of one of kai siang's slipper somehow and threw in the middle of the 2 rows of computer quickly upo Ashley's sabotage by asking si en to throw inside. haha!

This was one of the kai siang's slipper in the middle of 2 rows of computer.

It was like, how to retreive it when none of us present want to climb in as there were others around. Haha. Siao liao lor.

In the end, this was how si en retreived the slipper.

This day, was the day which by in 1 week time, the submission of MP report. The anxiousness to finish the report rose even higher. But though i was feeling very tensed, I still laughed over something cute. That was my mother was cooking a sunny side-up with 2 egg yolks! Haha!

To my mum, my eldest sis and me, was something unusual. My mother was like 苦笑 as she has not encounter such a situation before. Haha! Her face was very funny.

This day finally arrived yesterday. This was the day that I am looking forward increasingly after the submission of report. Cuz by then, everything related to MP would end!

Before the arrival of this day, many many things about MP happened. Everyone of us was rushing the poster for the presentation. Some of us re-printed the poster due to some changes, some were like walking corpse; did not sleep at all to finish it and to prepare for the speech.

I don't know whether I am lucky or 'suay', as I really just whacked my presentation and report which allowed me to have enough sleep during the last few days before the MP presentaion. Cuz I really did not know how well my project would be, and brain was dead whenever thinking of MP. I just did what comes into my mind and tried to make my presentation a good one.

I am able to try to do the things I needed due to one thing that sara told me:"Really just do your best as when the grade for my MP is out if is bad, I am able to tell myself that I have done my best.

This sentence is everyone would say. But the thing is how well do we remember it?

I can say that because of this sentence, I didn't think too much to make my presentation a really good one, I just did my best.

This poster presentation, really made some people gonna crazy too. I know got 2 people skipped lecture of that in order to send their poster for printing; some were very troubled by it and I tried consoling them, giving encouragement to them.

Becasue of this, I was very easily agitated; I shouted at my mum over a small thing. I felt sorry to her and I appologized to her. She knew that I was having a lot of stress and she understood that. I was grateful to my mum, and my sisters too. My mum never fails to cook delicious food which helps me to reduce my stress; my sisters gave my comments when I seeked their help and they helped to reduce my level of stress too, by playing with me using bears. I am really grateful of what they have given me. =)

So, at Chemical Pilot Plant (CPP) Lab.

Don't know whether was it a good thing for me to go for presentaion first in the morning. But nevertheless, it is now over and I am not going to care so much until when the dates are nearer for the releasing of the MP grade.

At the CPP lab, like every year I guess, was very crowded. Some were relaxed like me as we have presented already, some were still stressful as they had not done their presentation yet. But most of us presentated way before 6. And my class as of AD25, slacked near the entrance of CPP lab.

We eventually stayed there and formed like a queue waiting to visit the doctor! Haha.

The way Yonglin sat was just nice the position of the doctor la! Haha. Everyone was waiting patiently for out turn. Haha!! Maybe Jinx at the back is the bodyguard for Yonglin or the security man to maintain order. Haha!!!

Then ashley sitting there is the dispensary sectione as what they suggested. Haha... Weilie is the male nurse. Haha....

We waited until really cannot make it liao lor!! Kai siang was really sick and me actually falling asleep la! Sara also damn sian over there looking at her phone! Weilie is still laughing over there. Woah lao. The male nurse is not doing anything and what is ashley doing?!!! Aiyo... The queue was juz not moving!

Lol!!! The above sentences were all my imagination la... Meant to be as jokes. =) Haha...

Hope this post is sufficient to 'wei bao' the supportors of my blog. Haha...

If u all have notice, this is my 3rd post of the day. Haha. I am not crazy! I juz have a lot of things to say but don't want to lump everything together. So wrote the 3 post.

Yesterday it was announced that Singapore's largest telco, Singtel, will raise the telephone rates!

I am not sure of what are the subscription fees they are talking about, only took note of the local fixed line charges. It is gonna to increase from 0.7 cents to 0.8 cents per 30-second block in peak hours and 60-second block in off peak hours.

So.. doing math...
0.8 cents=S$0.008
Peak hours (9am to 7pm mondays to fridays)- 1 hour talking will cost S$0.008X2X60=S$0.96

Off peak hours- 1 hour talking will cost S$0.008X60=S$0.48

So, if i chat during the night for 1 hour, it only cost about 50 cents la! That's cheap! Haha.

佩芬 Stalker??

佩芬 is DJ in Yes 933 fm. She was one of the hosts for this season Superband.

On the day of the finals, when 兔子 was announced the winner, one of the hosts, 佩芬, she went to the spectators seat and interviewed the 3 rabbits' parents and friends. Unknowingly, there is guy who follows 佩芬 throughout the interview, standing beside her! My eldest sister was joking if that person is a stalker of 佩芬! Haha!

And because of this, my eldest sis actually sent a sms immediately the next day, which was yesterday, to Yes 933 FM morning programme 就是万人米，which is host by 丁志勇 and 林佩芬. Our intention was to let 丁志勇 comment about it, ask 佩芬 why this person say there is a stalker and so on. But to our dismay, they didn't. Haix. I even woke up in the morning as early as 7 am, juz to catch the part if they ever mentioned it.

So sad... We thought we can have some fun out of it. But guess they were quite busy yesterday as 佩芬 even has to put on her make-up when she was hosting.

非常 Superband...

On last Sunday, the 05 Oct 08, the finals for Superband were held. And.... 兔子won!! Hooray!!!

They all along has their own style regardless of their appearance or the music they play. Two of the rabbits wore big frame spectacles is because they want to make their small eyes look bigger. The other rabbit, the drumer, was praised by 包小松 before of her 打鼓的稳定性.

This superband we saw alot of female drummers and they are not bad after all!

I want to comment on 大风吹. Cuz they enter the finals with 兔子 when i feel that other bands like 三月 and 异世界 are much better than them and the finals would be more exciting if any of the other bands entered the finals with 兔子.

There is one, or two moments when 大风吹 was leading the number the votes! My sisters and I were so anxious that 兔子 may lose and we quickly send 3 sms each to support them. One sms in the last superband was S$0.60 each. Now don't know whether there is an increase in the price. Haha. We will know when our bill comes next month.

The first superband winner was 迷路兵. They are a band with 3 people, one being the drummer, one being the guitarist and one is the pianist. The second superband winner 兔子 also has 3 people. The only difference is 兔子 has 2 guitarists, no pianist. Hm... So, does it mean 3 people is better? Haha!

But from this we can see that, 3 people does not mean lower power.

The first thing in the day was I watched '爸爸比翳' or 'Father and Sons'. Then the second thing i did was I finished my SIP report! I hope my LO won't mark until so strict and allow me to pass. Haha.

Then at 5 onwards, I was switching channels between Channel 8 and SCV Channel 56. Channel 8 was showing 'The Golden Path' last 2 episodes, SCV Channel 56 was showing '周日狂日夜'. Both channels were quite nice to watch and in the end, my sis and I on 2 TVs to watch 2 programmes side by side. Haha. The SCV one got 王杰 and he sang songs that are really classic like 一场游戏一场梦. Woo!!! It is very nice!!!

Then after that, I went to bathe quickly and catch 天才冲冲冲 on SCV Channel 54. Haha... The show is really funny. One part was, 'Pen and Smile, Smile in Taiwanese or Hokkien', guess one cartoon character in chinese.

The answer is Pikachu! Pen in chinese is 笔(bi), smile in hokkien is 'chio'.

Today's episode of this part not much 笑点.

Then after this part, was '谁是老鼠屎'. Today's topic was songs that contain '亲戚的称呼', like 姐姐，哥哥 etc.

Usually when the artist came up to present the song that contains the topic, they would crap first. Then 曾国成 came up. He crap with 伤心太平洋 song, sung by 任贤齐. Part of the lyrics go like these:

Hm.. There are a few things to talk about today..

1st One
I met my very CUTE junior from secondary school today. She is having o levels this year. I see that she is coping well with her studies, compared to the last time when i met her. She is now able to handle the exam questions with confidence, and knows her priority. This is very good!

We went for a short walk before she headed back to sch for night study and me went back home.

2nd
I post a question for discussion among some people. The question was about something which I have no definate answer for it since few months ago. One answer I got was one shld integrate into the environment that the person is in to mix around.

However, I also remembered sara(saraphina) told me before that not every one can click with each other.

So, my conclusion was continue what I have always been doing, click with those who can click with me, maintain fair enough relationship with those can't really click, and shun away from those that I don't like. Haha...

3rd
I went to take a look at some bags in Bugis, a zinc bags shop. In the end, I 看上one bag. The salesman, a youngster, think just slightly older than me, kept persuading me to buy. He persuaded in a way that is slightly forcing me to buy. He asked me try the bag and I did. He also praised that the bag looks good on me and added on he is a person who do not brag.
He is a sales man of course he would say the bag looks good on ANY customer.

He said Zinc bags are Singapore brand and has their own factory in Singapore. He also mentioned that Zinc bags have LIFE-TIME WARRANTY. It is LIFE-TIME WARRANTY!!! He gave an example:If the zips are spoiled, i can bring it back to change.
I was like, 'Are u sure? I have not heard it before lor.'

In the end, I left as I have something on. I told him I would go back after I got my things done, even if it is just to inform I am not buying. I said to him that is because he is very outgoing, communicating with me well. But his way of persuading me is a bit disapproving to me.

So before when i go back, I sent sms to ask around. The answers I got were all they have not heard about the life-time warranty before. And my friends said Zinc bags are not really that good. Also, the bag costs S$28! Is like, a similar bag could be found anywhere at S$10. *diaox*

Finally, I did not go back! Haha. I think if I really went back, he would sure hold me back! really thanks to all the comments I received. Haha.

All time favourite

All thanks to the public holiday yesterday, my mum cook an all time favourite food for my sisters and me!
That was '大条面' in teochew, 'dua diao mee'.

My mum bought 2 kg of noodles la!! She overestimated our capacity of stomach. haha. In the end, my sisters and I only managed to eat about half of the noodles, and that was 1 kg of it! It was really damn alot of noodles lor..

My sisters and me were really full until a slight of 刺激 can make us vomit everything out. And we slept with the stomach full of noodles! Haha.. And even the fruit juice taken after the mee digested first as it 'burb' first.

Until now, writing this post, I still feel full.

This 'dua diao mee' was passed down from my 外婆, my mother's mum. Haha. When my sisters and me were young, my mum couldn't get the correct taste of the 'dua diao mee' until like about when I was in secondary school.
'Dua diao mee' is basically quite simple. It is actually the mee, with the combination of 'Yong Tau Foo', and chilli if you want, and lastly, the very fragrant fried onion! This combi is very very nice!

My mum can only cook this when everybody, meaning my 2 elder sisters and me are present. If anyone of us is missing, the one who is not present will sure object my mum from cooking it! haha...

Yesterday because of this, I was doing the peeling and cutting of the onions. I do until my back really ached for hours. Cuz sat in a position without moving for 2 hours on the floor. But everything was worthed it! Cuz we enjoyed the dinner!

*though it was really full for us, and carrying one damn bulging stomach ard. Haha.*

Hope the badminton session later with sara, yonglin and ronald can help burn off some calories.

Today is kai siang's birthday! Haha. Our shrek cum rooney cum astronate koh cum su hua's bf birthday! Haha...

Today i went to meet a friend whom i have known for 4 years. I knew her when i attended some course when i was in secondary 3. She is much older than me but surprisingly we can click and remain in contact till now! This friendship is very precious to me as she is another friend whom i can talk to, hang out with.

We went shppoing and had dinner together. She bought a tube as my birthday present man... But i like the tube and i can juz wear the tube and go out. Thanks finny! Haha.

I thought i could linger outside longer with her until she saw a friend. We, 3 person, sat down for dinner together. In the end, i left first as finny wanted to talk to her as she has some family problems. This is just a small small regret. But i can see that her friend, kelly, is really troubled. So hope finny can 开导 kelly and kelly would feel better!

F1!

Woohoo!!! Alonso came out first VERY unexpectedly. I really did not expect him to win after some discussion with friends. Especially his pole standing position was 15.

The first 8 laps at least Massa and Hamilton were leading until Massa's first pit stop. Haix. My sis says it is not ferrari's year. Haha. Massa really lost the fighting spirit. Too bad for him. But i think he didn't lose much standing in the driver's championshop standing.

Another Ferrari's racer, Kimi Raikkonen, did not manage to secure any of the top 3 positions. His car banged when he left 4 laps to go. I felt this was wasted as he could have caught up and got 3rd.

The pit stops were exciting la. Only 10 s to change tyres, pump fuel etc. Ferrari clocked the least timing [i think so], 6.6s, not mentioning the accident happened to Massa's car.
Massa's car incident was really chaos man. And Hamilton behind waiting almost almost wasted a lot of time.

The pit stops were the main factor that contributes to the race as many drivers took this opportunity to overtake others. And i only learnt this after i called Nigel to ask. I am so noob. Haha.

I think Renault for Alonso made quite a good strategy in the pit stops. But i didn't get to watch the 2nd pit stop for alonso lor. Tsk. Channel 5 did not replay that part.

There were so many dramatic changes during the race! Some cars 'buang' and safety cars came in. These really made this first F1 night race an exciting one! I enjoyed it!!!! Haha...

Woah lao. Today i 'LS' 3 times. Don't know what happen. But its good to 'let' all things out. Haha!!

I played volleyball with my second sis today in the afternoon. The weather wasso hot la! But it is good in a way as we get to sweat and exercise.It was also very glaring!
My sis always get blue black on her hands after every play. But this time I got it! The blue black is at my right hand ring finger. Think it is due to my volley.
The blue black is pain one ah, not the other type of blue black. Haha.

I think I am very lucky as nowadays when i play vb, my finger nails were long. This is very dangerous as my nails can break and it would be very painful! It would also affect my guitar playing. I shall remind myself in future to cut my finger nails before playing volleyball.

Today my both sisters and i watched the ‘Fathers and Sons' on SCV Channel 55. It is getting interesting as more and more unexpected things are coming out. My eldest sis even almost could not leave home for her dissertation meeting! Haha. The meeting was scheduled at 1230pm and she left house at 1230. But she should be in her school 15 minutes late only.

Yesterday i watched the F1 practises on Channel 5. It was not bad to watch! But it wasn't shiok enough as the sound always don't reach the max and the car needs to brake down already due to the many turns. However, the many turns in the circuit poses challenge to the racer to maintain its position throughout the race. It would be an exciting one.

So! Catch F1 tonight and tomorrow on Channel 5 LIVE! Haha.

Today i went kbox with my 2 vb seniors and one of the vb senior friends. I had a hard time finding reasons to turn them down as i don't really have the mood to sing and there is MP report to be accomplished. But in the end, they were really pleading me to go with them over the phone and if i missed this chance to meet them, i have to wait till december. That's long la!

So, finally i get to see my vb seniors as i guess we have not seen each other or keep in contact for at least 2 years since i left my secondary school.

One of them, Cheryl, did not change much and she is the Cheryl i know. Haha. The other one, Mei Ping, she went to perm her hair and she is more tanned. But she is still as pretty as before. Haha. Both of them are still able to click with me and i felt glad too. I thought their character would change like someone whom Cheryl and me talked about.

Cheryl is now at NUS, doing psychology and Mei Ping is doing some studying of movements, reflexes in Nanyang Polytechnic. I don't know what Mei Ping is studying, only know that her course requires her to have a JC cert and that's the reason why she is poly now, rather than in university. Strange right? Haha. But think her course is a tough one. She is at 2nd year la! Haha. And now i am in third yr. So.... weird isn't it?

Mei Ping's friends were ok in their personality and they were quite sociable too. One of them, called Rayner, can really sing! And his voice is that loud until the whole stretch of pathway that our room is situated at was filled with his voice! Haha... Then the other friend, called Ray, was exactly opposite! Ray's voice is very soft and we even tried to on the volume of the mic louder but it was still soft! Haha.

Overall, i enjoyed the k session especially after the guys had left. Haha. Cuz by that time, we were more relaxed and do whatever we want.

I resumed my blog again! Haha. It is all becasue of sara who reminded me of my previous post on blog. [sara, u must be laughing right now right? haha!]

i realise it is a way to let others know what you are undergoing when we can't possibly go ard telling our friends "Hey! you know ah! i juz ....". Haha. Friends can also read blogs when they are free. =)

Today was my BTT test. I passed! Yeah! Can move on to take FTT liao. The BTT had the same qns from the e trials.

After the BTT, i went for lunch with sara. We went to hougang mall and ate at Cafe Cartel. It was a worth it lunch. We ordered the student meal; sara ordered ham and mushroom pasta that comes with a small cup of pepsi; i had chicken sausage pasta that comes with a small cup pepsi also. The item that i ordered was originally 'chicken sausage and mushroom pasta'. Haha. I went to ask if the mushroom can be removed and it really can be done!

We also ordered a 'Tic Tac Toe Platter' which is cheddar fries and normal french fries. The cheddar fries were nice!!! Heard from sara that the NTUC also sell packets of '现成' cheddar fries. Hm. One day i shall try it!

There was also bread served immediately when we entered were of free flow and we can juz self-service. This is a gd idea as it can help to fill the stomach if we do not have enough cash. Haha! There is free iced water too, and i drank alot of it to prevent '上火'. So overall, it is a good deal!!!

After the lunch, we went to take a walk ard hougang mall. Nothing much but it was not as crowded as we thought during lunch hour. It was quite surprising. Haha.

It was an enjoyable lunch with sara! Is 'saraphina' by the way. Not the sara from AD36 lor. Haha.
